Dr. Shimon Eckhouse
Chairman of the Board
Dr. Shimon Eckhouse is a co-founder of Syneron and a co-developer of the proprietary elos technology on which Syneron’s aesthetic medical devices are based. Dr. Eckhouse was also the inventor and developer of IPL technology, another fundamental cornerstone of non-invasive aesthetic medical devices. In addition to serving as active chairman at Syneron, Dr. Shimon Eckhouse is also currently the chairman of OrSense Ltd., CardioDex Ltd., NanoCyte Ltd., Navotek Ltd., Tulip Ltd., ColorChip Ltd which he co-founded, Ventor Ltd. and is a director of WideMed Ltd. Dr. Eckhouse was the chairman and CEO of ESC Medical Systems from its inception in 1992 until 1999. Prior to founding ESC Medical Systems, Dr. Eckhouse was head of product development and technical director at Maxwell Technologies in San Diego, CA. Dr. Eckhouse also previously worked at Rafael, Armament Development Authority of Israel as a scientist, team leader and head of department and was active in various areas of R&D including lasers and electro-optics. Dr. Eckhouse holds a B.Sc. in physics from the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California at Irvine. He has more than 20 registered patents and published more than 50 papers in leading reference journals and conferences. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.

Louis P. Scafuri
CEO
Louis Scafuri was appointed CEO of Syneron in February 2009, bringing with him a proven track record of managerial experience and experience in the medical aesthetic market. Among many executive positions, Mr. Scafuri was the COO and President of GE Marquette Medical Systems, where he led a corporate-wide strategic planning and restructuring efforts to improve global operational efficiencies. Mr. Scafuri worked at Marquette for sixteen years and played a key role in the acquisition of Marquette by GE Medical Systems. In April 1999, Mr. Scafuri was recruited to the COO position in ESC Medical, where he was in charge of the worldwide sales, R&D and operations of the company. Mr. Scafuri led the acquisition and integration of Coherent by ESC that created the world's largest medical laser company with annual revenues of $400 million. From 2002, Mr. Scafuri acted as an entrepreneur and angel investor in medical device and medical aesthetic companies in the U.S. Mr. Scafuri holds a B.Sc. degree in biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1975.

Asaf Alperovitz
CFO
Asaf Alperovitz was appointed CFO of Syneron in September 2010. Prior to joining Syneron, Mr. Alperovitz was Chief Financial Officer of OMRIX Biopharmaceuticals, a NASDAQ-listed company until it was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in December 2008. The last position Mr. Alperovitz held at OMRIX, which currently operates as a stand-alone entity reporting through Johnson & Johnson’s ETHICON, Inc. division, was the position of the Israeli Site Manager. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Alperovitz was Chief Financial Officer of Tefron LTD, which was listed on the New York and Tel-Aviv Stock Exchanges. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Alperovitz was Chief Financial Officer of Corigin Ltd. Mr. Alperovitz is a Certified Public Accountant and previously held several management positions with Ernst & Young in Israel and the United States. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Tel-Aviv University.

Karen Sarid
President and General Manager of Syneron Israel
Karen Sarid was appointed President and General Manager of Syneron Medical Israel in May 2009. Ms. Sarid brought to Syneron both significant senior managerial experience, as well as extensive experience in the medical device sector. In the years immediately preceding Syneron, Ms. Sarid served as the CFO and COO of Galil Medical and General Manager of Galil Medical Israel and as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Orex Computed Radiography Ltd., a Kodak Company focusing on radiography systems for the digital x-ray market. Ms. Sarid has also worked as CFO and Member of the Board of Directors of Forsoft Ltd., ESC Medical Systems Ltd. and EZ Chip. Ms. Sarid currently serves as a director of EZ Chip, Oridion Systems Ltd. and Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. Ms. Sarid holds a B.A. degree in Economics and Accounting from Haifa University, and was awarded the Chief Financial Officer of the Year award in 1998 by the Association of Chief Financial Officers in Israel.

Dr. Boris Vaynberg
Vice President R&D
Dr. Boris Vaynberg joined Syneron in July 2007 as Vice President for R&D. Dr. Vaynberg was the co-founder of the dental device company Light Instruments which developed Syneron's LightTouch™ dental laser. From 2005 to 2007, Boris served as the CEO.of Light Instruments which susequently became incorporated into Syneron as its Dental Division. Prior to founding and managing Light Instruments, Dr. Vaynberg was Senior Scientist, Project Leader and Physics Group manager in Lumenis / ESC Sharplan.
Dr. Vaynberg holds a Ph.D. in Laser and Electro-Optics from Bar Ilan University and a M.Sc. in Opto-Electronics from Chernovtsy State University in Ukraine where he developed semiconductor blue light sources. Dr. Vaynberg has more than 10 registered patents and applications.
